I have a little hidden treasure in my hometown. One that I reluctantly share with others, fearing that too many people may discover this diamond in the rough. Finally, I am putting that fear aside and sharing the wealth because it's just too good if you are within a 5 hour vicinity.
July 16th & 17th - J.Crew warehouse sale
Lynchburg, Virginia is home to the J.Crew warehouse where your orders ship from and returns come back to. Need I say more? Last year I showed up for one of the warehouse sales, they handed me an over-sized plastic trash bag and a small white sheet of paper listing all of their prices. Everything was priced by category at a flat, incredibly low price - it was a short list. For example, let's say all children's items were $X amount, and all shoes were $X. I left exhausted after spending just over $200 looking like Santa with my enormous black sack over my shoulder. It was the only way I could carry it outside of dragging it on the ground. That should help you visualize my loot. I walked away with cashmere, a summer wardrobe for my son, stunning shoes & boots for myself and so much more. It is well worth the drive and effort to attend the J. Crew warehouse sale. Just try to keep it on the quiet side so it doesn't become to crowded - wink wink.
